Ebonyi State mourns the loss of Senator Anyim Ude, a distinguished broadcaster, renowned journalist, and former Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Senator Ude represented the Ebonyi South Senatorial zone in the National Assembly from 2007 to 2011 and was known for his devotion to Christianity and philanthropy. At the time of his passing, he held the position of Chairman of the Senate Committee on Aviation.
Throughout his career, Senator Anyim Ude worked in notable broadcasting organizations such as the old Imo Broadcasting Corporation (IBC), the old Broadcasting Corporation of Abia State (BCA) in Umuahia, and served as the Pioneer General Manager of Ebonyi Broadcasting Service (EBS).
Nnanna Ude, the son of the late Senator, announced his father’s passing on Monday, May 15, 2023. In a statement titled “SENATOR (ELDER) ANYIM UDE, MON – CALL TO ETERNAL GLORY,” Nnanna Ude expressed the family’s gratitude to God while sharing the news of their beloved father’s departure. Senator Anyim Ude was born on June 1, 1941, and peacefully joined the saints on the aforementioned date.
