Ebonyi Leaders Canvass for Ekuma Nkama’s Re-election as Council Boss

The head of the Association of Local Government Areas (ALGON) in Ebonyi State, Moses Ogodo-Ali, along with Stephen Igwe Orji, the representative for Edda East in the state legislature, have urged communities in Edda to rally behind the re-election of Ekuma Nkama Chima. They emphasized the need for unity and development in the region.

Speaking at a gathering to mark one year in governance, held at the Real Exclusive Event Centre in Abakaliki, Ogodo-Ali praised Chima’s accomplishments and loyalty to both the state government and the APC, led by Governor Francis Nwifuru. “Chima’s performance, achievements, and loyalty to the state government and the APC are impressive,” he said.

Stephen Igwe Orji, speaking for Edda stakeholders, lauded Chima’s efforts in promoting unity among elders and combating insecurity in the area. “The peace and unity that were restored in Edda LGA can never be undermined,” Orji stated, pledging to mobilize support for Chima’s re-election and declaring an end to political divisions in the area.

Ekuma Nkama Chima, the Chairman of Edda LGA, outlined his administration’s focus on peace, security, and poverty alleviation. “For a long time, peace seemed to have deserted the Edda community. Upon taking office, I sought collaboration with stakeholders, and they have supported me throughout,” he said.

Chima credited the improved security and infrastructure in the area to this collaborative relationship with the community and stakeholders. “We have made significant strides in security, road construction, and other sectors,” he noted, vowing to concentrate further on agriculture and transportation if re-elected.
