Breaking News: PDP NWC Appoints Caretaker Committee for Ebonyi State Chapter

The PDP NWC has officially constituted a Caretaker Committee for the Ebonyi State Chapter of the PDP, effectively dissolving the previous executive body that had been mired in an irreconcilable crisis.

In a statement released by Dabo Ologunagba, the National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, it was revealed that the dissolution of the executive body was executed in accordance with Sections 29(2)(b) and 31(2)(e) of the PDP Constitution, which had been amended in 2017. The move aims to bring stability and rejuvenation to the party in Ebonyi State.

The newly appointed Ebonyi State Caretaker Committee, entrusted with the responsibility of overseeing the affairs of the party, consists of a dynamic group of individuals. Dr. Augustine Nwazunku has been appointed as the Chairman, supported by Bar. Jude Onuoha, Hon. Ezekiel Igede, Mr. David Odey, Mr. Chika Nwoba, Mr. Gideon Nwokwu, Mrs. Amaka Igboke, Mr. Francis Inya Ibiam, Hon. Uka Emmanuel Abraham, Hon. Mark Onu, Bar. Ifeanyi Nworie, Hon. Oko Ibiam, and Hon. Ogbuefi Ifeuwabundidi Zacheus, who will serve as the Secretary. Together, they will steer the PDP’s course in Ebonyi State for a period not exceeding 90 days, fostering progress and unity within the party.

In light of this development, the NWC has called upon all party leaders, critical stakeholders, and devoted members in Ebonyi State to stand united and work collaboratively towards the advancement of the PDP’s objectives. This appointment marks a pivotal moment for the party, presenting an opportunity for a fresh start and a renewed commitment to serving the people of Ebonyi State.
