The governor of Ebonyi state, David Umahi, has announced that the federal government has approved funds for the construction of a limestone granule factory in Okpoto, Ishielu local council area. This announcement was made by the governor during a visit to his hometown of Uburu, when the people of Ishielu local council paid him New Year homage.
He disclosed that the factory will also have arrangements for constant electric power supply to Okpoto and neighboring communities.
According to Umahi, President Muhammadu Buhari has approved money for contractors to take the light from Okpoto through the corridors to Isu and Onicha.
