Obiahu Emerges As First Ebonyi Indigene Controller Of Correctional Service


An Ebonyi State woman, Mrs Theresa Chinwe Obiahu is among the newly promoted Deputy Controllers to the rank of Controller, Correctional Service.

Daily Independent gathered that she emerged as the first indigene of Ebonyi State to attain the position.

The new Controller, a native of Ngodo Community in Afikpo urban holds a Master Degree in Business Administration as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Management.

She is an alumnus of the Federal Polytechnic Idah where she obtained both National and Higher National Diploma in Hotel and Catering Management.

She is an accredited member of many professional institutions such as the Nigerian Institution of Personnel Management, and the Nigerian Institute of Peace and Conflict Resolution, among others.

Until her new elevation, Theresa Chinwe was the Deputy Controller of Correctional Service at the Federal Capital Territory in charge of the National Housing Fund (NHF). She was promoted along with about 30 others of similar rank in the Federation. She is married with children.
