On the 26 of October, 2020 some of group of hoodlums invaded Abakaliki in their number, attacking and burning down police vans, motorbikes, Keke Napeps and the CPS police station in Onuebonyi.
According to one of the members of the group, he pointed that one of their member was killed the last time they came, as such they came to avenge the death of their deceased member.
Multiple gunshot was fired by the same group at the International Market which left the business men and women and the rest of Abakaliki town in a state of total unrest.
