Obidigwe Football Academy sets to resume

Obidigwe Chukwu Football Academy, also known as Ekwunife Babes has announced that normal football activities can resume at the end of August under the existing Covid-19 sports program protocol.
The coach, Favor Obidigwe, with our reporter from his Abuja base, founder and head coach of the academy, revealed that, if all goes well, players will be asked to meet at an unspecified location in August in Anambra State. He also revealed that the academy had been confused since the tremendous challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic since March, but with the easing of conditions by the relevant authorities, it has to reunite players for intensive practice. Also a planned trip to Turkey has been suspended due to the current circumstances.
Meanwhile, the coach has revealed that Senator Lilian Uche Ekwunife, representative of Anambra Central, has expressed support for the academy. A source close to the Senator confirmed the development to our journalist and said that, “As part of her desire to empower the youth, Senator Ekwunife (IYOM) has decided to focus on Obidigwe Chukwu Football Academy as it will be a way to make a great contribution to helping young people in the area. “
