Police Nabs Three Suspected Criminals, Recovers Vehicle Stolen from Anambra in Ebonyi


The Anambra State Command’s police has arrested one Mr Chukwujekwu Igiri, aged 21years, for stealing shuttle bus.

The State Command’s Police Public Relations Officer, SP Haruna Mohammed, disclosed the act in a statement in Awka, on Thursday.

He said the suspect allegedly disappeared to an unknown destination with a newly purchased hijet cargo shuttle bus, and Ofiaku bread, worth fifty thousand naira property of one Mr Uchenna Okeke, the Director of Ofiaku Restaurant Awka.

He further disclosed that the vehicle was recovered at Umuegara Ezzamgbo, in Ohaukwu local government area of Ebonyi state, hometown of the suspect, with the restaurant brand name initially written all over the vehicle erased.

“Suspect was about selling the stolen bus at the rate of N200,000 through his accomplices, but who were equally arrested”, he adds.

He identified the arrested accomplices as Mr Maduabuchi Michael (22years) and Mr Chukwudi Ogeh (22 years), both from Amechi Ezzamgbo in Ebonyi state.

“Consequently, the recovered vehicle had been registered as exhibit and the three suspects were arrested and brought to Awka,” Mohammed said, adding that the suspects would be charged to court after investigations.
