The government of Ebonyi State has lifted the ban on holding Sunday Services by Churches across the State. This was conveyed in a public service announcement signed by the Ebonyi State Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Very Rev Fr Abraham Nwali. The announcement reads as follows:
His Excellency, the Governor of Ebonyi State, Apostle Engr Dave Umahi, has graciously approved that Worship Services should hold EVERY SUNDAY between the Hours of 8am and 12noon!
All worshipers must ensure compliance to the use of face masks inside and outside the Church, and as well maintain reasonable distance, must comply to hand-washing and use of sanitizers!
Every Church Service must begin by 8am and must be concluded by 12noon, every Sunday!
Do not stay beyond 12noon and ensure the observance of multiple services to avoid overcrowding (for large congregations)
Emphasis: Everyone must conclude all masses and worship services on or before 12noon!
Defaulters will be penalized in accordance with Ebonyi State Coronavirus and other Dangerous Infectious Diseases Law, 2020!
While thanking His Excellency, for this special gift to Ebonyians this Easter, we urge all Believers in Christ to be Law abiding and return home by 12noon!
Happy Easter in Advance.
Wear your nose/facemasks or handkerchiefs as you go to and return from Church.
