The Chairman of Afikpo south local government area, Hon. Eni Uduma, has few days to the conduct of local government area elections in Ebonyi, said the All Progressive Congress, APC, cannot win any ward, especially with the division and crisis rocking the party in the state chapter.
Uduma who was a two time member of Ebonyi state house of Assembly, EBSHA, made this known while interacting with newsmen at his country home, Edda community in Afikpo south local government area of the state.
He said that APC did not win in much place when they had flag bearer in the last 2019 general election, talking more of new they did not have any contender in the forthcoming local government area elections in the state.
According to him: “I am not aware that there are other political parties in Ebonyi state, they only exist on the pages of Newspaper. I don’t even know if some of them are buying form from there various political party offices and complying to EBSIEC guideline to enable them contest.
“I don’t see other political parties making any impart. PDP is Afikpo south and Afikpo south is PDP. The founding father of PDP that brought PDP to Ebonyi state is from Afikpo south and we have not changed.
“Only few political parties have offices at Abakaliki, capital of Ebonyi state and they can never win any ward in Afikpo south. Even the APC cannot try it. You can use what happened in the last election where the APC flag bearer, Senator Sonny Obuoji who hails from Afikpo south couldn’t muster courage to win anyplace.
“Let only now APC has no stay or contenders in the forthcoming local government area elections in the state.
Uduma who is contesting for second tenure in office, as the chairman of Afikpo south LGA, vowed never to share the monthly allocation of the council to stakeholders, especially those who are aggrieved of not being carried along by the chairman.
“My mission is to compete all the on going projects in the council. We have a good number of projects that we needed to compete very soon. We want to compete about 9.6 kilometers of roads, and we had built about 4.6 kilometer of roads at lower Edda, apart from the one we are jointly doing with the state government.
“All the stakeholders in Afikpo South is being carried along. The ones that are complaining that I am not carrying them along, are the ones that made themselves so heavy that we cannot carry them along and also move as one clan.
“If it is paying tribute inform of sharing our monthly allocation to appease stakeholders, that’s what we cannot do even in the second tenure. We can only share projects and that is what we are prepared to do, as I have learnt from the governor, chief David Umahi.
“When you do roads, the rich and the poor will equally enjoy and pass through the road,as such you are sharing dividends of democracy to the people” he stated.
