Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi state on Tuesday said he has the right to stop any federal project that is being badly done in the state.
Umahi had during the campaign period stopped a solar project being executed by Senator Sonni Ogbuoji
Umahi however said he never stopped the projects because of campaign but because it was badly executed.
The governor who made the revelation during the commissioning of access road and the new federal road safety corps (FRSC) Ebonyi state command complex in Abakaliki encouraged the citizens to stop any project that is being badly executed in the state.
He said: “This building is identical with what we do ,you can see the quality of the building, you can see the finishing, I can declare that this project is fit to be in Ebonyi state.
“I was talking with a group of people and I told them I want to make a permanent Secretary on federal projects and they asked me can you stop a Federal projects, I said I can you too can anybody can stop any project whether it is federal, state or anywhere. It is your money, it is my money we all have the right to stop a bad or badly executed projects.
“My former senator I learnt the court have removed him,he was doing a bad solar light projects that was not in line with what we do I had to stop him and I called the minister and told him of the man doing a bad job, he laughed and asked me to send him a petition.
“So I’m asking Eboyians when you see any project being badly executed, be it federal, state, local government stop it.
