Nigeria, Ghana and other members state of ECOWAS to use same currency from 2020.
This was made known by mustapha naisse the president of national assembly of Senegal in an ECOWAS seminar, the seminar was focused on challenges the prospect facing the creation of a single currency for the member states
The single currency will be starting by some members in 2020 in attendance for the seminar was jean-claude kassi brou the president of ECOWAS commission and Muostopha cisse luo the speaker of the community Parliament
Muostapha said that the currency will make it possible to lift commercial and monetary barriers lower the cost of transactions and spark up economic activities in the region.
The speaker urged all member countries to reflect the road map of the single currency and also requested overment and head of state of different countries to see that the 2020 deadline is achieved.
